It's rare that Lars Gotrich gets to record much these days since he spends most of his time working on his psych/avant-jazz/ambient label, Thor's Rubber Hammer. Under the Ancient Mariner name, he records demented, haunting Americana, akin to his musical guitar hero, Loren Connors.
